Nestled along the Parvati River at 1,640 meters in the Parvati Valley, Kasol has evolved from a sleepy hamlet into a backpacker's paradise while retaining its raw Himalayan charm. The strong Israeli influence manifests in Hebrew signboards, cafes serving shakshuka alongside momos, and a cosmopolitan vibe rare in Himalayan villages. Pine forests rise steeply on both sides of the valley, while the turquoise Parvati River rushes over boulders, creating a soundtrack for countless campfires and conversations. It serves as the base camp for treks to Kheerganga, Tosh, and Malana, making it essential for those seeking mountains without the polish of commercial tourism.
